One of the flash projects created during rhe duration of the class. Managed to use motion, path, used the tools to insert colour, draw using the line tools and the shape tools and also used the onion skin method to trace a photo of a bird to be inserted here.

8TH CLASS- 7TH OF APRIL

Today we stepped into the world of flash, taught by Dr. Norasyikin.The class was a brief introduction due to the exam on php and asp. We looked at drawing a simple picture using lines and shapes and also inserting some colours.. Will try to complete the tasks given at home. kinda interesting...especially the moving parts..    :P

7TH CLASS -24TH MAC 2014

Todays' class was conducted by Prof Zaidatun. Today she was breezing through the admin 1,2  authentication aspects. Besides that she taught us an interesting stuff, creating online questionnaire and forum..Wow it was slightly easier than the others, yet the thought of the incomplete task on creating user authentication affected my thoughts... need to look into it.. Thank Prof fr the wonderful and energetic classes..

6TH CLASS - 17 MAC 2014

Today class was conducted by Dr. Norasyikin. We were looking into user authentication. The class started of well and i was very tentative as we were looking into the security aspects of a web, something very important nowadays. Since i had no problem with handling php in my own laptop, i proceeded to use it. Unfortunately it caused my very own downfall as during the lessons, my dreamweaver program gave up on me, making me miss a few key steps, thus making me get lost right at the end.. Need to go home and defrag my computer.. or look for a new one.. ugh...

5TH CLASS- 10TH OF MAC

Today's class we looked into PHP. This was the first time i engaged myself into the world of php. As always the beginning was tough, as i need to find xampp and disable some setting in my laptop to get things running.. Since i had the same prob last week, this week i decided to practise using. the deskop in the lab and retry it again at home.. 2 times the work but hopefully it will help. The process was kinda easier that asp, with creating the php file, creating database. Then we created a site using dreamweaver , used insert record, repeat region.
The best part was , i was able to recreate what i learnt using my laptop at home.. a success.. finally..

4TH CLASS - 3RD MARCH 2014

Today class we started looking into using asp.. First we did a simple databate using microsoft access. That part was easy, then came the difficult part, linking the database into the asp file. had a lot of errors, but due to my computer being a 64 bit version, i had to enable a lot of setting to get it working. Due to the struggle using my laptop, i returned to using the desktop in the lab, and copied the files into the inetpub folder. But back home faced another problem, as with the saved files, i took home a trojan virus from the desktop.. have redo it all in my computer...hmmm

3RD CLASS- 24TH FEBRUARY 2014

Today class started with Dr. Norasykin at the helm of the lessons. Dr. Zaidatun came in a bit later as she had some urgent work to tend to. Dr. Nora introduced to the basics of creating a webpage/website using the dreamweaver. While she was teaching, two students of Prof. Zaidatun was helping to install an app on our smartphones and ipad/tabs. The apps introduced about static and dynamic website. Meanwhile the other app showed the panels and functions in the dreamweaver. The app was useful as it showed the panels and the function in the apps as well as explaining about static and dynamic websites.

After that, when Prof Zaidatun came in, she gave us a few worksheets to look into,especially in dreamweaver and also a few tasks which included installing IIs in our computers. Despite the "how to do notes " did not cover for windows 7, but by using the instructions given for windows vista i managed to install it and help my other friends install it too. While trying out some of the tasks given by Prof Zaidatun , indirectly i managed to learn some of the basics of dreamweaver. Meanwhile when i had some problems, i was able to ask the other students via facebook. Their response was very helpful and with the help of the mediator students, the process went smoothly. I also managed to complete the database task given on time, and i cant wait to see what we have for the next lesson.

LECTURE 2

Today's lesson was the first day we met Dr. Zaidatun. She was explaining thoroughly about the class overview. Including the Facebook group (Facebooking authoring system together)

Some of the interesting new facts that i learnt today was:-

• flash is an actionscript
• metaphor of powerpoint is slide based
• metaphor of authorwave is icon based
• metaphor of flash is frame/time based

downloading - wait for all the files to download to watch 
streaming - watch while it downloads

We also looked into the difference between dynamic and static webs.
Examples of dynamic web :- facebook, (those days)friendster, twitter
Examples of static webpages: webpages that potray informations and photos or video. no two way interaction

Besides that we learned about PHP and ASP. Both are programming languages used to create websites.
ASP - Active Server Pages, runs on Microsoft along side IIS(Internet Information Server) and uses access as database
PHP- Hypertext Preprocessor, can also run on windows,solaris,unix and linux, runs on Apache server and uses Mysql as database

LECTURE 1

TODAY WAS THE FIRST LESSON FOR " AUTHORING SYSTEM" .
IT WAS AN EYE OPENING EXPERIENCE, AS I WAS INTRODUCED TO THE INTERESTING LESSON OVERVIEW.
I AM VERY EXCITED TO LEARN AND RE-LEARN ABOUT DREAMWEAVER AND FLASH. THE LAST I LEARNED ABOUT DREAMWEAVER AND FLASH WAS BACK IN 2000 AND 2001.
I REALLY HOPE I CAN LEARN MORE AND NEWER ASPECTS ABOUT THESE PROGRAMS AS THEY CAN BE A USEFUL TOOL FOR ME AS A TEACHER AND ALSO TO TEACH OTHER TEACHERS ONE DAY.
